Here we go!!

CERN starts up Hadron Collider

**UPDATE** - Looks like we’re gonna have to wait a while before D-Day.  Hope you didn’t quit your job and blow all your dough on pints of bitter at the local bar.

It planned to circulate the first beams 10th September 2008. First collisions at high energy are expected about a month later with the first results from the experiments soon after.

I can’t wait! A little bitty Big Bang! One of my forum buddies put it this way:

“How many times have I told you people?

The specific energies being released by the LHC haven’t been seen in the Universe since the Big Bang. When these particles interact with our DNA, it will change us into superhumans with fantastic abilities.

It’s just sad that all of the first batch of super-heroes will be European.”

What???
If there’s going to happen something terrible, I hope you to give the news also in Spanish, because I don’t understand a word, and I won’t be prepared, and I’ll be one of the first ones to die…
